Examples of my photography 

 Hi everyone! 

 For this post, I wanted to show you some of my previous photography work. I am currently doing year 12 photography so all my pictures are from there or on my phone. The cameras I use are the DLSR's they provide at school and the camera on my phone (Samsung galaxy s5), also very rarely my step mum's camera.

If I tell you by Alicia Tuckerman If I tell you is a book set in Australia, about a girl named Alex Summers who is dealing with being gay. The story follows Alex in her perspective discovering her sexuality in a town that is filled woith homophobic people. As the story progresses Alex meets a girl named Phoenix Stone and her life is changed forever. I really liked this book! The characters were well developed, the imagery used was good and the book flowed all throughout. In some parts of the book, I felt it went a bit quicker or it was easy to tell what was going to happen next, but overall it was really good. this book was very emotional, not only did Alex have to deal with ridicule from the town she also at times got it from her family. it saddened me to discover what it can be like for some people that are having trouble coming out. this is one of the first books I have ever cried while reading, it definitely brought out a lot of emotions which i loved The ending was the s...

Watercolour flowers

Watercolour Flowers For this post I wanted to share my recent watercolour work, I don't know a whole bunch about watercolour so I haven't done any major pieces of work. I mainly just experiment with techniques and colours.  Materials used: Watercolour paper Winsor & Newton half pan set (not sure of the specifics) Water brush As you can see from these two pieces I really like flowers, I experimented with the colours and the style of flower. I like the first page better then the second as I feel it is something I feel is more my 'style' of work, it's not perfect and it's kind of messy.  with the first page I drew the flowers out in pencil then went over that with watercolour, it helped with the messy effect and I really like the way that the shades of colour overlapped.  with the second page, I didn't draw out any lines I went straight in with the paint and didn't paint the inside of the flowers. 3 tips on how to deal with anxiety To start off this post I just want to say that I am in no way an expert on mental health or anything to do with it. I'm making this post as I have recently discovered that I probably have anxiety, I have decided to come up with 3 tips that I use nearly daily to help me, in the hopes that it might help someone else going through the same thing. 1. Breathe -  breathing is one of the simplest and quickest way to help with anxiety. If you start to feel anxious breath in deeply for five seconds then breathe out for six seconds, doing this for 30 seconds or more increases the supply of oxygen to the brain, stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, ultimatly creating a state of calmness. You could even do some deep breathing for 20-30 minutes daily to reduce daily stress and anxiety. 2. Meditation -  My school is currently doing a meditation session at lunch, I have found that this has really helped me stay calm and reduce my anxiety...
